Hailuo 2.3 is the surprise of the batch. For a flat $0.28 and no audio it typeset the title card correctly, kept the speaking woman steady and natural, spilled the glass convincingly, and turned the lighthouse into a lively anime storm. Its self-portrait is a blue-caped figure leaping across terracotta rooftops. Six-second clips only, 1366 by 768, silent, a couple of minutes each. For b-roll and stills-in-motion it is hard to beat on price.

What we noticed running Hailuo 2.3
- •Clean 'MODA SUMMER SESSIONS' with the date on a second line, from the cheapest model on the roster. See the animated title card clip.
- •The kettle spout never quite meets the cup; water appears in the cup while the spout hovers beside it. See the hands at work clip.
