Alibaba's Wan and Kuaishou's Kling are priced within a few cents of each other and both reach long clips: 30 seconds for Wan 3.0, 15 for Kling. We ran both through the same nine clips.

Which to use
Wan 3.0, with one caveat. It held the product on the turntable, kept the photographed dripper exact in image-to-video, spilled the glass convincingly, and came back in about three minutes at $0.50 a clip; Kling was usable on the same shots but painted the crowd, garbled the text and waited up to twelve minutes. The caveat is fal's content checker on Wan, which refused the festival title card, so Wan has no text result to judge. Kling keeps its multi-shot storyboard mode, which Wan does not offer on fal.

Is Wan better than Kling?
On our clips Wan 3.0 was steadier and more consistent than Kling 3.0 Standard at about the same price, and returned in a third of the time. Kling has multi-shot storyboards; Wan's content checker refused one of our nine prompts.
Is Wan open source?
Not any more. Alibaba published weights up to Wan 2.2; Wan 2.7 and 3.0 are hosted only. Kling has never released weights.
