A spill is a hard physics problem: liquid, ice, glass and a surface, all interacting. We gave 19 models the same tipping glass on a wooden table and watched what happened to the water. The grid includes the September 18 additions; each model page dates its own run.

What the side-by-side shows
Veo 3.1 throws the most convincing spill, with droplets and a puddle that spreads. Veo 3.1 Lite, surprisingly, produced the biggest splash on the roster. Seedance 2.0, Wan 3.0, MiniMax H3 and Veo 3.1 Fast all get a believable spill. The failures are specific: Wan 2.7 grew the ice cubes to nearly the size of the glass; Seedance 2.5's water turned to a translucent haze; Hailuo 2.3's ice stayed inside a glass that never quite tipped; Kling Pro's glass ends up standing again.
