Ray 3.2 is Luma AI's video model, released on 9 June 2026 as the successor to Ray3 and Ray3.14, built with control in mind: up to 16 keyframes per clip, performance tracking for up to eight faces, native HDR with 16-bit EXR export and clips up to 20 seconds at 1080p in Luma's own app. It does not generate audio. On fal it makes 5 or 10 second clips at a flat price per clip, $1.00 for five seconds at 720p, which puts it among the dearer models here for a silent clip.

Anvisha's take
Ray 3.2 is a good-looking silent model that costs more than models with sound. The talking-head clip is warm and natural even without a voice, the harbour aerial is dense and convincing, the pour-over keeps its props, and the spill is respectable. The title card is the weak spot: the words fade up faint for a moment mid-clip and are gone again by the end. Image-to-video gave our handleless dripper a handle, as Gemini did. Clips came back in 62 to 98 seconds, with the title card taking 187, at a flat $1.00, which is more than Veo 3.1 Fast with audio for the same five seconds. Pick it for the keyframe and HDR controls on Luma's own API, not for the price.

What we noticed running Luma Ray 3.2
- •The title appears faintly for about a second in the middle of the clip and has faded out by the last frame; no other model treated set text as a transient. See the animated title card clip.
- •Added a handle to the handleless dripper in the starting image, the same change Gemini Omni Flash made, and came back 960 by 960 following the square photo. See the image to video clip.
- •Kept a consistent dripper through the turn, with a handle it invented on frame one. See the product turntable clip.
- •Self-portrait: asked for a glass sphere refracting a sunrise in one orbit, it produced a glowing bulb on a dark table that barely moves; the loop is seamless because nothing happens.

What Luma Ray 3.2 will not make
Luma's terms bar pornographic or sexually explicit content, anything that sexualises minors, deepfakes and impersonation, incitement to violence or hatred, and misleading or political-manipulation content. Outputs that resemble a person must be publicly identified as AI generated, and Luma may embed watermarks and provenance metadata that users may not remove. Commercial use of outputs needs a paid plan.
