Seedance 2.0 is ByteDance's video model, released on 12 February 2026 and the one behind Dreamina and Jimeng. It generates up to 15 seconds with synchronised audio in one pass, at 480p to 4K, with multi-shot editing and camera control, and it is the model whose launch brought cease-and-desist letters from Disney and Paramount within days. It is billed by the token, which on fal works out to about $1.50 for a five-second 720p clip.

Anvisha's take
Seedance 2.0 is the model to beat on this set. The title card came back as clean typeset text with the date on its own line, the older woman at the stove looks like footage rather than a render, the harbour crane shot really moves, and it did it all in about two minutes a clip. The price is the catch: $1.52 for five seconds at 720p is five times Kling Standard and more than Veo 3.1 Fast. Use it when the shot has to look shot; use something cheaper for volume.

What we noticed running Seedance 2.0
- •Typeset the whole card correctly, with 'Friday 12 June' as a smaller second line, which about half the roster could not do. See the animated title card clip.
- •The glass tips and spills, but the puddle reads as coffee-coloured on a light wooden board, which no prompt asked for. See the physics clip.
- •Kept the black dripper from the starting image exactly and poured into it, but the dripper stayed on its bare tray with nothing underneath. See the image to video clip.
- •Every clip landed in 88 to 148 seconds, the most predictable wait of the token-billed models.

ByteDance's models run behind fal's safety checker and fal's partner terms for commercial use, and Seedance 2.0 is the model whose launch drew cease-and-desist letters from Disney and Paramount over recognisable characters and celebrity likenesses, after which ByteDance said it would strengthen its IP safeguards. Expect prompts naming real people, franchises or studios to be refused or degraded. Outputs from Dreamina carry an AI-generated label.
